RüYYn is a one-man band that emerged at the end of 2020 from the creative mind of Romain Paulet. The project draws significant inspiration from fast and melodic black metal from the 90’s.
In May 2021, RüYYn released its first eponymous EP, showcasing an epic, powerful, dark, and cold musical style reminiscent of bands like Gorgoroth, Emperor, Deathspell Omega, Mgła, and Blut Aus Nord. The EP revolves around the theme of a soul consumed by hatred towards the modern world, reflecting on the downfall of civilization in the near future, where coldness and silence reign supreme.
